There are mixed ideas among people about Judas Iscariot. Some feel sorry for him and see him as a victim; others wonder, was Judas just confused not realising what he was doing and then he ended up betraying Jesus to His death? Others wonder, was Judas misled but ultimately okay? Had Judas just become so angry with Jesus because Jesus wasn’t dealing with the political situation in the way that Judas thought he should that Judas just took control? Was he thinking that it wasn’t possible for any harm to come to Jesus because he had seen Jesus evade death at the hands of the Jewish authorities before, maybe he could make some money and at the same time force Jesus into a position of showing His power and glory?
In this message Charles Fleming, Pastor of Shekinah Christian Church Penzance, explores what we can learn from what happened to Judas to cause him to ultimately betray Jesus to death.
